What is Aliren for?
Aliren is used to treat cold symptoms. Each of its components fulfills a specific function:
The amantadine , which is as amantadine hydrochloride, combat influenza A virus that causes the flu. It prevents the release of the virus nucleic acid into the host cell, interfering with the function of the transmembrane domain of the viral M2 protein. In addition, it prevents the replication of the virus produced within the cells of the body.
The chlorpheniramine , found as chlorpheniramine maleate, is an antihistamine selectively blocks central and peripheral H1 – receptor, also reducing the medullary cough center. It has the ability to reduce runny nose and itching, as well as sneezing.
The paracetamol acts against pain and fever. It is rapidly and almost completely absorbed from the digestive tract; it undergoes a transformation in the liver and is eliminated in the urine. Fortunately, it does not cause gastric irritation.
Recommended dose of Aliren
Aliren is administered orally and in patients 12 years of age and older . The recommended dose of the drug is 1 capsule every 8 hours . To obtain a better therapeutic effect, it is recommended to start treatment within the first 48 hours after the symptoms of the disease appear.
