Dactil Ob comes as compressed tablets, usually in a box of 30 tablets. Each contains the active substance piperidolate hydrochloride (100 mg), hesperidin (50 mg), and ascorbic acid or vitamin C (50 mg).

The Dactil Ob is especially useful during pregnancies with threatened abortions that begin to present uterine contractions or the initiation of labor before 37 weeks of gestation. That is, before the normal duration of a pregnancy.

Dactil Ob side effects

Dactil Ob usually presents side effects very similar to those that occur with other anticholinergic drugs such as atropine. There are some frequent ones and others that may or may not occur, but of which you must be aware and inform the doctor.

Among the most frequent side effects that usually occur are constipation, urgency, mydriasis, dry skin and mouth, constipation, erythema or flushing.

Possibly, but less frequently, fever, ocular hypertension, bronchial, tear, and nasal hyposecretion, acute glaucoma crisis, atrioventricular block, and delirium may occur.

Less common adverse effects include tachycardia, dysuria, arrhythmia, erythema, speech and balance disorders with vertigo and vomiting. When there are very high doses of the drug, hallucinations, disorientation, photophobia, hypotension, cyclopegia, agitation, drowsiness may occur.

Contraindications of Dactil Ob

Dactil Ob has a contraindication in people with intolerance or allergy to some of the components of the formula. This medicine contains tartrazine, a yellow dye that can cause allergic reactions that consequently cause bronchial asthma.

Special care should be taken in people allergic to acetylsalicylic acid (aspirin). In addition, you should inform your doctor if you are taking any other medications to avoid any unwanted drug interactions.

Dactil Ob is contraindicated in patients with Glaucoma (ocular hypertension), like all anticholinergic drugs.

Unless the doctor considers it strictly advisable, this medicine should not be used in patients with the following cases:
